Saint Dominic Academy student, Emma Roy of Lewiston, waits to meet her first grade teacher at St. Dom’s “Meet and Greet,” where the students got the opportunity to visit their classrooms and their teachers before starting school on Aug. 30. The academy hosted the parent-student open house at its prekindergarten to grade six campus on Baird Avenue in Lewiston. Students, parents, teachers and staff received a blessing from Deacon Steve Harnois, teachers were introduced and parents and students were escorted to their classrooms where they could see the upgrades to the hallways and the plans for the coming year. The evening ended with a cookies and iced tea social provided by parent volunteers.
