SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford Hills Food Collaborative will host a “Savoring the Harvest” dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the First Congregational Church.
Those attending will enjoy local delicacies prepared by well-known local chefs featuring local fruits, herbs, dairy products, vegetables and locally grown meats.
The four-course meal will start with appetizers and fresh baked breads, followed by soup or salad, choice of entree and a seasonal dessert.
John Williams will be the guest speaker and pictures of the collaborative farms, producer members, store workers and volunteers will be shown throughout the evening.
To make a reservation, call Laura Roy at The Progress Center at 739-6180. Reservations and payment should be received no later than Sept. 15.
The Oxford Hills Food Collaborative is a coalition of local family farms, bakers, Maine producers and adults with developmental disabilities. To volunteer or for information about the collaborative, contact Patricia Verrill at 674-5903. Proceeds from the dinner will be used to continue the growth of the collaborative and outreach to the community.
