More than 20 new storefront windows are being installed in Jalbert Hall at Central Maine Community College in Auburn. The energy efficient, aluminum finish units are clear anodized and the glass is one-inch low-E insulated. Old windows will also be replaced in one of the residence halls and high-efficiency lighting will be installed in the labs for the automotive, precision machining and building construction technology programs. The funding for the project comes from a bond issue approved by Maine voters in June. The bond is providing for extensive energy upgrades and repairs at Maine’s public colleges and universities.
