NORTHPORT — Karen Bilodeau, an attorney at McTeague Higbee in Topsham, will be one of 20 presenters at the 18th Annual Workers’ Compensation Conference, Comp Summit 2010, Sept. 12-14 at Point Lookout Resort in Northport.
Bilodeau will take part in a presentation analyzing key law court cases and legislative actions in the past year as a legal year in review. She will explain the effects of these decisions on injured workers, Maine employers and their insurance carriers.
Bilodeau focuses her practice on workers’ compensation, personal injury and medical negligence. She is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group, American Association for Justice, and the Maine Employment Lawyers Association.
She earned her bachelor of arts degree from Bates College and her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law. She is a resident of Auburn.
Comp Summit 2010 is Maine’s only statewide workers’ compensation conference. Its goals are to keep attendees up to date on workers’ compensation system developments and best practices, and to encourage practical, creative solutions to challenges facing working Mainers.
