LEWISTON —  A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday for Irene C. Berube at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, following prayers at the Fortin Group Funeral Home. Msgr. Marc B. Caron officiated and Bro. Irenee Richard recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The reading and prayer of the faithful were proclaimed by Sue Canciani and Stephen Canciani. Offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Nancy Wholganger and Michael Berube. Eulogies were given by Dan Tremblay Jr. and Raymond Berube. Pallbearers were Dan Tremblay Sr., Dan Tremblay Jr., Jason Gagnon, Stephen Canciani, Charles Grover and Mark Gosselin.
