TURNER — Daniel and Darlene Tremblay of Turner are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kara Nicole Tremblay of Westbrook, to Brian James Gagnon of Westbrook, son of Daniel and Donna Gagnon of Augusta.
Miss Tremblay is enrolled as a student in the nursing program at the University of New England and also currently works at Mercy Hospital in Portland as a certified nursing assistant.
Mr. Gagnon is a 2004 graduate of Stonehill College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He currently works as an account executive with J.S. McCarthy Printers in Augusta.
The couple met at Old Orchard Beach in 2007 and the proposal happened on Feb. 12 at the Rockefeller Center Plaza ice rink in New York City. An Aug. 6, 2011, wedding date has been set and the couple will celebrate their special day with famly and friends at 4 p.m. at Sunday River in Bethel.
