FARMINGTON — The 11th annual Miss Farmington Fair Pageant will take place on Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Farmington Fairgrounds, the opening day of the Farmington Fair. Contestants will arrive at 1 p.m.

Girls ages 7 to 18 who reside in Franklin County are eligible to enter the pageant. They will vie for the titles of Little Miss Farmington Fair for girls ages 7 to10, Junior Miss Farmington Fair for girls ages 11 to 13 and Miss Farmington Fair for ages 14 to 18.

Each girl will compete in interview, talent and formal presentation. Each contestant will also be asked to write an essay entitled “Kids Today.” A separate contest for Miss Hospitality will be based solely on fair involvement.

Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded in each age group for each category.

Judges are also needed and will be expected to hold interviews at 1:30 p.m. and then return for the pageant.

The pageant will take place at 6:30 p.m. on the stage in front of the grandstand.
