FARMINGTON – Grace Trask, 86, of Allen Street, Wilton, died early Sunday afternoon at the Sandy River Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Farmington.

She was born in Fairfield, June 25, 1924, a daughter of Earle L. and Carrie Fletcher Nye and graduated from Lawrence High School. She later attended Canadian Nazarene College in Red Deer, Alberta.

She worked for Hathaway Shirt and American Woolen Co., and was later a telephone operator for 28 years for New England Telephone & Telegraph in Waterville. She was a member of the Livermore Falls Church of the Nazarene and she enjoyed reading, painting, and traveling.

She is survived by a sister, Carrie Emery of Fairfield; a sister-n-law, Jackie Nye of Connecticut; nephews, Richard Strickland of Connecticut, Allen Strickland of Montana, James Nye Jr. of Texas, Gary Nye and Wayne Nye, both of Connecticut and Paul Emery and David Emery, both of Fairfield; nieces, Rebecca Breard of Biddeford, Diana Oliver of Farmington, Barbara Selwood of Winthrop and Andrea Marks of Fairfield; many great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, H. Arnold Larsen; and his son, Richard; her second husband, Ralph R. Trask; brother, James Nye; and sisters, Ida Nason, Eva Cloutier and Helen Nye.
