SABATTUS — Aline C. Labonte, 89, a resident of Sabattus died peacefully early Monday, Sept. 13, at her home.
She was born in Wotton, P.Q., Canada, Aug. 6, 1921, the daughter of Oscar and Exina (Pelletier) Larrivee and had been a resident of this community for most of her life.
She attended St. Peter’s School in Lewiston.
She married Oscar Labonte on Nov. 9, 1940; and he died on Dec. 7, 2005.
She was employed for many years as a spinner in the local textile industry and for 14 years as a housekeeper for Marcotte Nursing Home until her retirement.
Aline dedicated her time and talent to Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, baking, canning food, walking and loved sitting in the sun on her own porch. Most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Labonte of Sabattus and Sandra Parsons of Hampden; one son, Gary Labonte and his wife; her special daughter-in-law, Jeannette of Sabattus; four grandchildren, Steve Labonte and his wife, Stacey, of Auburn, Scott Labonte and his wife, Rebecca, of Oakland, Shawn Labonte and his fiance, Nicole Marcotte, of Camas, Wash., and Craig Parsons and his wife, Brianna, of Frankfort; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Abigail and Ruby Aline Labonte; one sister, Rolande Stewart of Jackson, Mich.; one brother, Marcel Larrivee and his wife, Jackie, of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
