DURHAM — Selectmen will host a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the town office to discuss and hear comments on two liquor questions going to voters Nov. 2.
Question 1 asks residents if they want to authorize the state liquor commission to issue licences “for the sale of liquor to be consumed on premises of local licensed establishments” within the town on days other than Sundays.
Question 2 asks residents if they want to authorize the state to issue licenses for the sale of liquor to be consumed on premises of state-licensed establishments on Sundays.
Residents voted a few years ago to allow the sale of liquor to take out.
For further information, people may call the town office 352-2561, ext. 10.
