LISBON — With the deadline to file nomination papers for nine openings in the Nov. 2 municipal election seven days away, five candidates have filed papers as of Monday.

Another six who took out papers have until 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, to file with the town clerk.

Those who have filed include George Caron for school committee, Dorothy Fitzgerald and Feron Larochelle Jr. for one town council at-large opening, Roger Bickford for town council in district 2 and John Wierzbicki for budget advisory board in district 2.

Taken out papers but having not filed yet are Traci Austin and Janet Henry for school committee, Gina Mason for town council in district 1, James Bruce Lemieux for town council in district 2; Debbie Ann Barry for budget advisory board in district 2 and longtime water commissioner William Bauer. All are three-year terms.
