WINTHROP — Four different players scored and Alyssa Arsenault and Lorin Bryant combined for stop seven shots to earn the shutout as Winthrop toppled Mountain Valley 4-0 in MVC field hockey on Monday.
Rachel Ingram, Cat Ouellette, Lauren Kaiser and Nikki Scott all rattled the cage for the Ramblers (4-0) as they outshot the Falcons 21-7.
Emily Gallant turned aside 21 shots in the loss for Mountain Valley (2-2).
Livermore Falls 2, Lisbon 1
LIVERMORE FALLS — Erin Gats netted two goals, including the game-winner with 10:10 to play in the game, to lift Livermore Falls to a 2-1 victory over Lisbon in MVC field hockey action Monday.
Caylee Morris stopped 11 shots to preserve the victory for the Andies (4-0).
Angel Strout offset an early Livermore Falls lead with 10:20 to play in the contest for Lisbon (2-2), only to watch as Gats netted the winner 10 seconds later. Hailey Jamison stopped seven in the loss for the Greyhounds.
Waynflete 4, Poland 0
PORTLAND — Alida Farrell scored a hat trick to lead Waynflete to a 4-0 victory over Poland in WMC field hockey action Monday afternoon.
The Flyers led 1-0 at the midpoint. Roz Gray-Bower rounded out the scoring for Waynflete with a single tally.
Goalie Melora Lavoie faced 23 shots, making 19 saves for Poland, while Kailina Milk earned the win in net for Waynflete without having to make a single save.
Boothbay 2, Jay 1, OT
BOOTHBAY — Sarah Caron knocked her own rebound into the net with 4:24 left in overtime to lead Boothbay to a stunning 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Jay.
Boothbay forced overtime when Jessica Murray scored with two minutes to play. Caron, who assisted on the tying goal, broke in on the Jay goal in overtime and redirected her own rebound into the net for the game-winner.
Randi Duguay scored for Jay (2-2) with 7:02 left in the first half on a pass from Kourtney Brennick.
Ashlee Quirrion made four saves for Jay, while Madison McCarthy had eught saves for Boothbay (1-3-1).
Telstar 10, Hall-Dale 0
FARMINGDALE — Senior wing Katie Sumner rattled off four goals to lead Telstar to a 10-0 shutout victory over Hall-Dale in MVC field hockey.
The Rebels (3-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead at the midpoint. Lyndsay Merrill chipped in with a pair of goals for Telstar.
Goalies Jayla Barton and Hannah Perry combined for seven saves for the Bulldogs (0-4), while Hali Barter earned the win in net for Telstar without having to make a save.
Dirigo 5, St. Dom’s 3
AUBURN — Hannah Knight netted a pair of second half goals to propel Dirigo to a 5-3 victory over St. Dom’s in MVC field hockey action Monday.
The Saints ( 0-2-1) kept pace in the first half, finishing the frame even at 2-2. Marisa Zamrock recorded a goal and two assists for St. Dom’s.
Sam Blanchette assisted on the first Cougar (1-2-1) goal and scored their second goal unassisted.
Girls’ soccer
Leavitt 4, Medomak Valley 2
TURNER — Mariah Treadwell knocked in a goal and added two assists to lead Leavitt to a 4-2 win over Medomak Valley in KVAC soccer.
Treadwell joined Bri Hammond, Tori Zupancic and Jenna Cote on the scoresheet for the Hornets (4-0), who are already halfway to last season’s win total.
Alanna Vose and Kasey Benner netted goals for Medomak Valley (1-2). Amanda Hendrickson-Belloguet recorded 12 saves in the loss, while Kelly Pomerleau was the winning keeper for the home team with six stops.
Oak Hill 3, Lincoln 0
WALES — Oak Hill went in front early and added a pair of goals late as the Raiders upended Lincoln 3-0 in KVAC soccer action Monday.
Jessica Roberts, Amanda Bloss and Julie Morneault each scored for Oak Hill (2-2). Roberts and Jane Marston added helpers, and Darby Beaulieu turned aside three shots to record the shutout.
Emma Lazzari led the way for the Eagles (0-3-1) with seven stops in net.
Boys’ soccer
Telstar 3, Jay 1
JAY — Tyler Brown scored two goals to lead Telstar to a 3-1 victory over Jay.
San Vaughn chipped in with a gaol and an assist for the Rebels (2-1). Isaac Couture scored Jay’s goal on a pass from Tyler Gervais.
Rick James stopped seven shots for Telstar. Jay’s Dustin Jones and Gervais combined for 15 saves.
Mt. Abram 6, Carrabec 2
NORTH ANSON — Noah Zanella and Alex Lopez scored two goals each to lift Mt. Abram to a 6-2 triumph over Carrabec.
Ian James and Caulin Logan also scored for the Roadrunners (2-1). Josh Beedy stopped five shots.
Vincent Walter and Ryan Rathburn scored for the Cobras (1-3).
Gray-NG 4, Fryeburg 0
FRYEBURG — Craig Moreau scored twice to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 4-0 victory over Fryeburg.
Kolby Arnold and Jack Martel also scored for the Patriots (2-3). Gray-NG scored three goals in the second half.
Brian Cavallaro stoped the only shot he faced .
Oak Hill 2, Lincoln 2
NEWCASTLE — Junior Bo Mclain took advantage of a quick throw in to tie the game for good in the second half as Oak Hill deadlocked with Lincoln Academy, 2-2, in double overtime.
Junior stopper Jamiel Kidd scored his fifth goal of the season and controlled the midfield with efficiency for the Raiders (2-1-1)
Goalie Kyle Scherer made 25 saves for the Eagles (2-1-1), while Tyler Pelletier prevented 19 for Oak Hill.
