LEWISTON — Aline S. Dulac, 94, formerly of Lewiston, and Bolster Heights Nursing Home in Auburn, where she had been a resident for the past two years died Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born on April 4, 1916, in St. Frederic, P.Q., Canada, the daughter of Liniere and Phosine Caron LaPlante. She was educated in Canadian schools, and was employed as a nurse in Quebec City until, at the age of 27, she married Emile Dulac and moved to Lewiston, and was a homemaker most of her life.

Mr. Dulac passed away on Sept. 1, 1971. After Emile’s death, she went back to work and spent several years working in the kitchen of the Marcotte Nursing Home.

A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she took part in many church activities and was a frequent volunteer. She also enjoyed knitting and crochet, and often made mittens for charity.

Survivors include a son, Robert Dulac of Lewiston; four sisters, Janette LaPlante of P.Q., Canada, Sister Bernadette LaPlante of Montreal P.Q., Canada, Germaine Cote of Quebec City, P.Q., Canada, and Theresa Heath of Vero Beach, Fla.; two daughters-in-law, Doris (Babicki) Dulac and Clare (Welch) Dulac; eight grandchildren, Roger, Gerry, Ronald, Michael, Stephen and wife, Allison, Eric, Bobby and David Dulac; five great-grandchildren, Kasie, Brad, and David Dulac, Nichole La Feaver, and Renee Yates; seven great-great-grandchildren, Justin, and Cody Merrill, Xavier Kolbe, Elizabeth Dulac, Tyler Shaw, and twins Nicholas and Ryan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father; mother; husband, Emile; daughter, Monique; sons, Emillien and Andre Dulac; daughter-in-law, Colette Dulac; granddaughter, Diane (Dulac) De Angelo; brothers, Rodias and Armand LaPlante; and a sister, Madeline LaPlante.
