PORTLAND — Alan Hedrick broke a second-half deadlock and Cam Allen followed with the eventual game-winner to send Buckfield to a 6-5 victory over Greater Portland Christian on Tuesday in an EWC boys’ soccer game..
Austin Dooley scored twice in the first half, which ended in a 4-4 tie. Also scoring for the Bucks (2-2) were Kasey Robertson and Trevor Averill. Barrett Hamann stopped 11 shots for Buckfield.
Ben Hammond scored twice for GPC (1-1).
Morse 1, Oxford Hills 0
BATH — Max Rawson lofted a corner kick that struck the far post and deflected into the net for the game’s only goal to lift Morse to a 1-0 victory over Oxford Hills.
Rawson’s goal came 22 minutes into the second half.
Matt McVety made 12 saves for the Vikings (1-3), while Grady Madden stopped nine shots for Morse (2-2).
Erskine 3, Edward Little 1
SOUTH CHINA — Ryan Palmer netted a pair of secomnd-half goals Tuesday as Erskine hustled to a 3-1 victory over Edward Little.
Brian Potter also tallied for the Eagles (2-1-1) to complete the scoring. After a scoreless first half, the offense finslly hit high gear.
The Red Eddies (2-2) received a lone goal from Conor Harris, while Ben Bowles and Jeremy Hamb combined for six saves in the cage.
Zack Busmanis needed only three saves to notch the win for Erskine.
