AUBURN — Girl Scouts of Maine has announced that fall registration is under way for the 2010-11 membership year and individuals who want to learn more about Girl Scouting are invited to attend a locally scheduled parent information meeting.

The meetings are for girls in kindergarten to grade 12 and their parents, and will be held in the following locations:

Auburn: Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 15 and 16, from 7:30 to 9 a.m., at the Fairview Elementary School open house; Thursday, Sept. 16, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Washburn Elementary School open house; Saturday, Sept. 25, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave.

Lewiston: Thursday, Sept. 30, at 6:30 p.m., at Montello School.

Girls who register by Oct. 1 are eligible to participate in the 10 Step Camp Challenge, an opportunity to earn a free week at Girl Scout Camp next summer.
