JAY – Selectmen voted Monday to change the time they meet to 6 p.m., starting Oct. 25. It will be held at the town office.
There will be a joint meeting with Livermore Falls selectmen at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at Otis Ventures LLC, the former Wausau Paper Otis Mill on Mill Street in Jay. The boards will discuss a Chisholm Trails project. Jay selectmen will then hold their regular meeting there, Town Manager Ruth Cushman said.
There is no Jay selectmen’s meeting scheduled for Oct. 11.
Also Monday, the board made appointments to boards and are looking for residents to fill terms on others.
Selectmen voted to appoint Michael Collins as a regular member of the Budget Committee. He will replace Ellen Levesque who resigned, Cushman said.
Two alternate positions remain available on the committee.
Selectmen also reappointed Gary Bryant to the Board of Assessment Review. There are two alternate vacancies on that board, she said.
Nelson DiPompo, who was in the audience, volunteered to serve on the Spruce Mountain Board of Directors. He replaces the town’s representative, Wil Eastman, who did not want to be reappointed.
Selectmen also invited members of the public to a Comprehensive Plan update visioning session at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jay High School Library.
