AUBURN — The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society will have a Pet Spa and Adoption Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Evergreen Subaru of Auburn, 774 Center St.

In addition to having adoptable shelter pets on site, pet owners may bring their pet for a day of pampering. Baths will be available for $8, nail clipping for $10 and ear cleaning for $5. Microchipping, a form of permanent pet identification, will also be available. The chip, which is about the size of a grain of rice, contains an identification number that is entered in a national database. The $25 fee will include the microchip and the lifetime pet registration through 24 Hour Pet Watch.

Donations of pet shampoo are being accepted at Evergreen Subaru. There are no scent restrictions.
