LEWISTON — The St. Mary’s Farmers Market will host a cookout from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15.
Stanley Haynes will provide locally raised grass-fed beef burgers for the cookout. Staff from St. Mary’s Health System’s Campus Cuisine will grill the burgers. An heirloom tomato salad and other fixings will be available as well.
Market-goers may also take advantage of the Double Value Coupon Program happening now at the St. Mary’s Market. The program is for anyone using WIC or EBT to purchase his or her food. For every dollar spent at the market, customers will receive another dollar (up to $10) to buy more fruits and vegetables. The program is also running at the Lewiston Farmers Market.
