NORWAY — Frances L. Copp, 91, of Mechanic Falls died Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Buckfield, March 16, 1919, the daughter of Ruppert and Angie May Rowe Robbins and attended school in Mechanic Falls. Frances worked at Marcal Paper Co. and then as a clerk at W.T. Grant and Woolworth stores in South Paris. She was a member of the Minot Corner United Methodist Church and had been a choir member for many years. She also had been a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Mechanic Falls Fire Department. She was married to George Copp, who passed away in 1979.
Survivors include her son, Donald of Mechanic Falls; two grandsons, Rocky and Theresa Copp of Poland and Jeffrey and Julia Copp of Minot; great-grandchildren, Garett Copp of Flagstaff, Ariz., Halsey Copp of Poland, Brittany Turcotte and her husband, Matt, of Fort Walton Beach, FLa., and Morgan Copp of Mechanic Falls; a great-great-grandson, Aiden; two brothers, Ruppert Robbins of Leesburg, Fla., and Richard Robbins and his wife, Marilyn, of Pompano, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
