FARMINGTON — Effective Oct. 1, the psychiatric outpatient services component of Evergreen Behavioral Services will become part of Franklin Memorial Hospital and its Franklin Health medical practices. Its new name will be Franklin Health Behavioral Services.

Clients will continue to be seen at the same location and contact the same phone number.

Franklin Health Behavioral Services will offer the same high quality psychiatric services, including medication management and therapeutic counseling for mental health and substance abuse issues. Programming will include DEEP counseling and employee assistance programs.

The staff includes Lourdes Soto-Moreno, MD, Arthur Dingley, DO, and Rebecca Chandler, PMH-NP, CS, along with a team of fully licensed therapists, many of them certified to treat people with both mental health and substance abuse problems.

“The new practice model will promote better integration with the client’s primary care health plan and place the service as a more integral function of Franklin Memorial Hospital’s network of services,” Leslie Hawkins, Franklin Health administrator, said.

Evergreen Behavioral Services will continue to be an affiliate of Franklin Community Health Network and will continue to operate the round-the clock emergency mental health response service for Franklin County, as well as provide mental health services for the Crossroads School, a regional day treatment program for children in Livermore Falls and Jay schools.

Franklin Health Behavioral Services will accept all insurance plans, MaineCare, and Medicare.

“Please be assured that if you are a current client of Evergreen, services will continue uninterrupted in the Franklin Health practice,” Hawkins said.
