BOOTHBAY — Brooke Lawrence took a Kayla Angelico feed and scored on an indirect kick with nine seconds left in the first overtime, lifing Lisbon to a 3-2 victory over stubborn Boothbay (0-5) in a girls’ soccer game Thursday.

After a scoreless second half, the teams battled through the first overtime before Lawrence settled the matter with her goal.

In the first half, Haley Eck of Lisbon (4-0-1) scored the first goal on a Chelsea Huston assist. Angelico topped off the Greyhounds’ scoring with her unassisted goal.

Abby McCullan scored both unassisted goals for winless Boothbay off keeper deflections. Lisbon goalie Kyrstin Ramich made four saves and the Greyhounds outshot Boothbay, 15-9.

Hall-Dale 3, Monmouth 2

FARMINGDALE — Carylanne Wolfington scored an unassisted goal with 10:29 remaining in regulation to lift Hall-Dale to a 3-2 victory over Monmouth in MVC girls’ soccer action Thursday.

The Mustangs (2-2) jumped out to a 1-0 advantage in the first frame on a goal by Danielle Burmann. Hall-Dale (3-1) answered when Sara Price booted a shot into the net shortly after.

Wolfington put Hall-Dale up 2-1 before Chelse Arsenault tied the contest again for Monmouth.

Taylor Massey made four saves for Hall-Dale to record the win, while Kelsie Hilton turned aside 19 shots between the posts for Monmouth.

St. Dom’s 3, Jay 1

AUBURN — Stephanie Costello netted a goal in each half Thursday as St. Dom’s hustled to a 3-1 victory over Jay in a MVC girls’ soccer matchup.

Sophie Goulet also tallied for the undefeated Saints (4-0) to complete the scoring. Mary Caron made eight saves to record the win.

The Tigers received a lone goal from Alexi Deering in the first frame. Katie Beaulieu turned aside 14 shots between the posts for Jay.

Madison 2,

Mountain Valley 1

MADISON — Natalie Michaud converted a pass from Kianna Libby with 31:52 left in regulation to lift Madison to a 2-1 victory over Mountain Valley in a MVC girls’ soccer tilt Thursday.

Michaud gave the Bulldogs (2-2) a 1-0 advantage in the first frame, with as assist from Kelly Costa.

The Falcons (3-2) answered when Chrissy Briggs took a pass from Kaitlin Armstrong and fired it into the net.

Savanna Kandiko made nine saves for Madison, while Breanna Roberts turned back five shots for Mountain Valley.

Dirigo 5, Carrabec 2

NORTH ANSON — Natalie Bolduc registered a hat trick as Dirigo easily overpowered Carrabec 5-2 in a MVC girls’ soccerr matchup Thursday.

Bolduc’s first two tallies came in the first frame to give the Cougars (4-1) a 2-0 advantage. Murphy converted passes from Bolduc to add two more, while Bolduc put the game out of reach shortly after.

The Cobras (1-3-1) received second-half goals from Leah Poirier and Becca Bergeron. Bryce Parent made nine saves for Dirigo, while Marisa Murray turned back 15 shots in the cage for Carrabec.

Gray-NG 3, Freeport 3

GRAY — Freeport scored the final two goals, the final one with 33 second to play to salvage a 3-3 tie with Gray-New Gloucester.

Taylor Darnell scored twice and Julia Martell also scored, helping the Patriots build leads of 2-0 and 3-1. Maggie Chaplin and Haylee Cote were credited with assists.

Scoring for Freeport were Aubrey Pennell, Brooke Heathco (penalty kick) and Alexandar Mitch.

Field hockey

Leavitt 4, Rockland 0

ROCKLAND — MyKayla scored a pair of goals and Taylor Eells stopped all four shots to lead Leavitt to a 4-0 victory over Rockland in a KVAC field hockey game.

McCann scored the game’s first two goals three minutes apart to give the Hornets (4-0) an early cushion. Also scoring were Adrie Newton and Morgan Erskine.

Ciara Smalley made five saves for Rockland (2-2).

EL 1, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON — Emily Ranucci scored during a scramble in front of the cage for the game’s only goal in Edward Little’s 1-0 triumph over Mt. Blue.

The goal came with 14:07 left in the first half.

Amanda Williams made three saves to earn the shutout for the Red Eddies (4-2). Kasey Gaboury made five saves for Mt. Blue, which dips to 0-4.

Brunswick 4, Lewiston 0

BRUNSWICK — Lewiston’s defense could not solve goalie Sidney Escoe, who led Brunswick to a 4-0 victory Thursday.

Haley Shaw, Hannah Bobker, Eliza Brooks and Olivia Leroy scored for Brunswick (4-1).

Alison Lafreniere made seven saves for the Devils (0-5).
