WINTHROP — Kurt T. Blodgett Sr., 52, of Sturtevant Hill Road, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 16, at his home.
He was born in Rumford, Feb. 22, 1958, the son of Richard and Rena (Turbide) Blodgett.
Kurt was a graduate of Mexico High School. He had worked for Chadbourne’s Sawmill in Bethel, and later for Bankcroft Construction in South Paris. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with family.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jackie Blodgett of Winthrop; his children, Kristy Blodgett and her partner, Clint, of Colorado, Heather Stadlbauer and her husband, Mike, of Colorado, Kurt Blodgett Jr. and his wife, Alyssa, Tabatha Blodgett and her partner, Brad, and Jonathan Blodgett and his partner, Katelyn, all of Winthrop; seven brothers, Ernest, Mark, Gary, Karl, Kris, Keith and Kelly; four sisters, Tina, Lisa, Kim and Tira; a sister-in-law, Barbara Mangin of Winthrop; brother-in-law, Darron Carter of Fairpoint, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Abby, Jacob, Zach, Keara and Riley; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Blodgett; and a sister, Deborah Morton.
