AUBURN — A Funeral Mass honoring the life of Norman J. Albert was celebrated Friday at Sacred Heart Church Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish following prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Brendan Harnett celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
At the beginning of the Mass, Norman’s wife, Suzanne, and his daughter, Savannah, draped his casket with the burial pall that commemorates his Baptism into new life. During the Mass, the first reading was read by Linda Henault and the second reading was read by Rachel Cyr.
The Prayer of the Faithful was read by Gary Stugard. The offertory was brought to the altar by Suzanne Albert, Savannah Gould and her husband, Eric Gould. Following the committal services, the U.S. Army played taps and presented our country’s flag to Mr. Albert’s wife, Suzanne Albert. Pallbearers were Gary Stugard, Chuck Pollock, Bobby Richards, Allen Sterling, and Mike and Buster Downing. A reception of fellowship was held at Mr. and Mrs. Cyr’s home in Lewiston following the services at the cemetery. Arrangements by the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston.
