GOLDEN, Colo. — The wedding of Renee Michelle Lavoie and Joshua Elliot Polgar was held at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the Boettcher Mansion on Golden, Colo. The Rev. Richard Cella officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Polgar is the daughter of Dan and Shari Lavoie of Lewiston. Mr. Polgar is the son of Dr. Theodore and Carol Polgar of Rutland, Vt.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless ivory gown with swiss-dot tulle with beaded lace appliques and a champagne satin empire band. She also wore a fingertip champagne veil with Swarovski crystals and pearl details and carried a bouquet of ivory and wine roses.

Danielle Lavoie was maid of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Heather Jones, Jessica Polgar, Hannah Polgar and Janna Polgar, sisters of the bridegroom.

Best man was Scott Aprilliano, friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Ian Jones, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Garrett Hoffman and Daniel Boudreau, friends of the bridegroom, and Michael Lavoie, brother of the bride. Keegan Jones, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Boettcher Mansion, after which the couple traveled to Riviera Maya in Mexico. They are residing in Denver, Colo.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She also graduated from the University of Colorado in Denver in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is currently employed as a registered nurse on the float team at Children’s Hospital in Denver.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School in Rutland, Vt., and a 2004 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in health management and policy. He is currently employed as the food and beverage director at the Buffalo Run Golf Course in Commerce City, Colo.
