LEWISTON – Normand Roger Dallaire, 74, of Lewiston, passed away Friday, Sept. 17, of lung cancer at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston, Dec. 28, 1935, the son of Romeo and Alexandrine (Dupere) Dallaire. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1955, and served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 1958 until Sept. of 1960.

On Oct. 15, 1955, he married the love of his life, the former Betty Obie at St. Louis Church in Auburn.

He was employed in Sheet Metal Union, Local 17 for 40 years. He enjoyed many things, especially yard work, playing cards, watching all sports and his monthly trips to Hollywood Slots. He loved his home and his special recliner.

Norm was a member of Holy Cross Church of the Prince of Peace Parish.

Survivors include his mother; his wife, Betty; a sister, Rita Letourneau and husband, Robert; sisters-in-law, Rita Raymond, Linda Agren and husband, Donald; and brother-in-law, Gerard Obie and wife, Lorraine.

He was also survived by many special godchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father; his sister, Lorraine; brother-in-law, George Raymond; and nephew, James Raymond Sr., and wife, Sara.

A special thank-you to all his wonderful doctors and nurses at CMMC for the excellent care they provided him during his illness.
