AUBURN — Members of the Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St. Following a bag lunch bingo will be played. Tickets will be on sale for the following: Halloween party, $5, Oct. 28; Thanksgiving luncheon, $5, Nov. 10, at The Green Ladle; and Christmas luncheon, $5, Dec. 8, at Ramada Inn. Members may pay for the three tickets on one check or buy each separately.

Membership dues for 2011 may be paid for those leaving for their Florida stay.

At the meeting Sept. 8 with President Merry Strout presiding, there were 49 present. Rita Fortin was welcomed as a guest. Chaplain Pat Donohue, in memory of Adele Del Monico, a member who passed away Aug. 25 at age of 94, led the group in a moment of silence, followed by members repeating “The Lord’s Prayer.”

Chairwoman Evelyn Sawin reported she has seats available for her fall foliage trip on Oct. 8 to Rangeley Lake and its vicinity, with dinner at Loon Lodge. The price of the trip is $60, including transportation, bingo on the bus and a full course dinner with choice of chicken, beef or fish. As seats are filling up fast, early reservations are recommended. See Sawin at Robin Dow meetings, or phone her at 998-4577. One does not have to be a member of Robin Dow Senior Citizens to go on the trip.

Those having birthdays in September were acknowledged. Attendance prize winners were Leone Ford and Lorraine Marcous; pot of gold, Shirley Huntley, Lorraine Marcous, Betty Hebert; and mystery prize winners were Phillip Cyr, Midge Demers and Betty Hebert.
