AUBURN — Carmen Dixon passed away peacefully early Friday, Sept. 17. She was a loving and caring sister, wife, aunt and friend to many.
She was born Carmen Audet and resided on Hillcrest Street in Lewiston from her birth until 1952. As a young girl, she attended Holy Cross School in Lewiston.
She later met and married Roland Dixon in September 1953, and they resided on Jefferson Street in Auburn. Roland, her beloved husband, passed away in September 1968.
Carmen continued to reside in Auburn for the rest of her life, moving to the Lake Street Towers in 2006, and just recently in July, entering Clover Manor. She was employed at Etonic Shoe Manufacturing for many years.
She is survived by her brothers, Lionel, Armand and Richard Audet; her sister, Doris Comisky; her sisters-in-law, Venice Audet, Betty Audet and Yvette Audet; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was fondly known to the entire family as “Ma Tante” and she always made a point to attend family gatherings and never forgot holidays and birthdays of her loved ones. She was a generous, unselfish and caring person and she will be sadly missed.
