CALGARY, Alberta, Canada — Benoit Joseph Rejean Vallee Sr., 58, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, after a battle with cancer.

Ben Sr. was born in St. Luger, Quebec, Sept. 17, 1951. He was the son of Paul-Henri and Gemma Vallee. He learned the construction trade from his family and went on to become a home builder, working with his sons over the years.

Ben Sr. is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Gail; children, Ben Jr., Jason, Michelle and Arianna; six grandchildren; one brother, Gilles; two sisters, Gilberte and Camille; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother and father; sister, Lise; and brother, Claude.

The family wishes to thank a special friend, Kurtis Rikstad of Strathmore, AB for the unwavering support he gave Ben Sr. throughout his illness.
