FARMINGTONEvette L., 95, a resident of Park Street, Livermore Falls, died early Tuesday morning, Sept. 21 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. 

She was born March 18, 1915 in Lewiston, the daughter of Joseph and Euphemie (Thibeault) Lepage. She attended school in Livermore Falls.

 Evette married Leopold “Leo” Chretien on Nov. 5, 1938 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.  Leo passed away in 1995. She was a devoted wife and mother and spent her life raising her family as well as many extended family members throughout the years. Evette was a Communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church.  She was a member of the Women’s Bowling League and the Jay-Livermore Falls Senior Citizens.  Evette enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, playing bingo, her camp on Round Pond, and especially loved being with her grandchildren. In her younger years, Evette enjoyed square dance calling. 

She is survived by her four sons, Roland and his wife Sandra Chretien, Paul Chretien and his companion Dale Farrar, Gerard and his wife Susan Chretien, all of Livermore Falls, Albert and his wife Jeanne Chretien of Jay; her daughter, Germaine Murphy and her husband Thomas of Orono; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and her sister, Laurette Denis of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by five sisters, Fernande Pelletier, Noella Eli, Jean Leblond, Emiliene Chretien, and Theresa Lepage; and 4 brothers, Noel, Andrian, Bertrand and Fern Lepage.

For the past three years she enjoyed making her home with Paul and Dale. Also, a special thank you to her niece Gloria Beaulieu for helping take care of her for the past year.
