RUMFORD — Oktoberfest is looking better than ever, according to organizers. There will be tables with jewelry, crafts, artwork, food and the Rotary’s big book bash at the event, to be held Saturday, Oct. 16, at Hope Association (the former armory) on Lincoln Avenue.
Rotary Interact will serve a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. and pizza at lunch time. At the kids’ games, everyone will win prizes of stuffed animals and books. After lunch, Paul Jones’ famous Silver Lake apple crisp will be available.
Vendors’ tables will open at 9 a.m. and throughout the day the What Not Shop will be open with fall fashions.
Tables and outdoor spaces are still available for rent for this year’s Rumford Area Rotary Oktoberfest. Spaces are $30 each or two for $50. Call Hope Association at 364-4561 for information.
Hope Association and the Rotary collaborate to organize the event. Proceeds go to Hope Association and the charities and scholarships of Rumford Area Rotary.
