PHILLIPS — Plans are underway for the 19th annual scarecrow reunion to be held Saturday, Oct. 2, at the scarecrow lot on Main Street.

Registration forms are available at local businesses, at the reunion lot attached to the sign or by mail at P.O. Box 77, Phillips, ME 04966, when requested by a phone call to Winona at 639-4296.

Categories are adult, child, family and group. Scarecrows will be judged on the following criteria: time involved, in good taste, would it scare a crow and creativity. Organizers Winona Davenport, Dana and Sharon Dudley said that names should not be put on the scarecrows. It will be done after the judging.

There is a $5 registration fee. Ribbons will be given to all and cash prizes to first place in each category.

Proceeds will benefit Phillips Conservation Commission.
