FARMINGTON — The Farmington Ski Club invites all of its members, and others interested from the community, to a volunteer work day at Titcomb Mountain in West Farmington, beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25. The event was originally scheduled for Sept. 11.

Titcomb Mountain survives and thrives through the work of volunteers both during the ski season and during the preparation time in the fall. This year is no different and there is plenty of trail trimming, painting, firewood and cleaning projects to complete.

The ski club hopes that those who enjoy the mountain in the winter will come on Saturday to support Titcomb for a few hours in the morning or afternoon.

The day will finish with a potluck dinner and cookout starting at 4:30 p.m. The club will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and rolls, and members and friends are asked to bring a salad, side dish, dessert or beverage to share.

Those interested in volunteering and/or staying for the cookout, may call the Titcomb Mountain office at 778-9031 or e-mail [email protected].
