My political philosophy is that government should work for all and favor none. The role of government is one that is subject to the people as a whole, rather than to majorities, minorities, special interests, corporations or unions.
Both Democrats and Republicans are guilty of engaging in political favoritism — dividing and pitting Mainers and Americans against each other.
I am fed up with both parties and their inability to work for the good of all Mainers. That is why I am supporting Eliot Cutler for governor of Maine.
I believe that he has a sound approach to government and how it should operate, and that he holds the interests of all Mainers at heart. His stance as an independent speaks to my dissatisfaction with both Democrats and Republicans, who make promises but have yet to fulfill those promises.
