As we prepare to vote in November for positions in Oxford County government, we should pick the right person, not the right party, to manage our county’s needs.

Roy Gedat has proven his professionalism and knowledge in financial and budgetary matters as treasurer. Let’s allow him to continue on the very positive course he has put that office on and elect him as treasurer.

Pat Shearman is running for register of deeds. She has a genuine drive and passion to fulfill the mission of that office. She is ready and willing to work hard for our county.

As sheriff, I work closely with our commissioners. They work hard to prudently, fiscally and honestly represent the citizens. Caldwell (Caldie) Jackson has done a very good job as a commissioner and I hope the citizens will allow Caldie to continue for another four years.
