LEWISTON — Priscilla R. Simpson, 85, of 2 Dawn Ave., died Friday, Sept. 24, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, where she resided for the past six months.

She was born in Waterville, Jan. 13, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph and Yvonne Cameron Simpson. She was educated in Waterville schools and graduated from Waterville High School, Class of 1944. She worked at J.C. Penney in Waterville and later served as housekeeper, bookkeeper and also served in different ministries along side the Rev. Herve Carrier for 47 years until his retirement in 1996.

Miss Simpson will be remembered for being a gentle women and loved children and music.

She is survived by two special friends, Marion (Bernadine) Tracy of Waterville and Irene Rossignol of Lewiston; her caregiver and friend, Rosetta Girouard of Lewiston; several nieces and nephews; and the many friends she had in the various parishes she served.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Carroll and Roland Simpson.
