LEWISTON — Richard W. and Therese Perron Sr. of Lewiston celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently at the Ramada Inn, with most of their family attending. A pool party followed at their home, with games and swimming. An early evening buffet was served and enjoyed by all.
Their family presented them with a monetary purse and memberships to the Health Club and Spa.
The couple was married on Aug. 20, 1950, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston.
Attending were their four children, Diane Beaulieu and her husband, Dave, Denise Hebert and Joline Asselin, all of Lewiston, and Richard Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Sabattus. Also attending were most of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Nicole Ward and her daughter, Toni of Georgia, Craig Turcotte and his son, Jacoby, of Lewiston, Debbie Salisbury and her husband, Mike, of Pennsylvania, Melissa Guimond and her husband, Tim, of Greene, Richard Perron III and wife, Sarah, of Beverly, Mass., Joshua Perron and wife, Jamie, of Sabattus and Jonathan Perron of Westbrook. Unable to attend were two grandsons and their family because of military duties. Both recently served in Iraq. They are Staff Sgt. Brad Turcotte, who has served in the Army for 10 years and his wife, April, and their son, Damon, now stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., and 1st Sgt. Shawn M. Hebert, who has served in the Marines for 15 years and his wife, Cambria, and their two children, Kaydence and Nathan, now stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C. A great-granddaughter, Courtney Ward of Georgia was at cheering camp at that time.
Mrs. Perron is a retired dietician at d’Youville Pavilion and Mr. Perron was self-employed and retired as a master plumber.
