WATERFORD — Announcement is made of the engagement of Gemma Dee Boutilier and James C. Merrill, both of Waterford.

The future bride is the daughter of the late Deanna K. Cox and stepdaughter of Tony Paine of Sanford. She is a 1986 graduate of Lewiston High School and is currently enrolled at Empire School of Cosmetology in Portland. She is employed at Melby’s Market and Eatery of Waterford.

The future bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar E. Merrill of Waterford. He is a 1983 graduate of Oxford Hills High School and is employed in the construction industry for Cianbro Corporation.

A March 19 wedding is planned at the home of the couple.
