AUBURN — Kayla McLellan scored three goals and Mary Caron stopped every shot, except a penalty kick, to lead undefeated St. Dom’s to a 7-1 victory over Madison.

The Saints (7-0) scored three times in the first half to take control. Also scoring for the Saints were Sophie Goulet, Clara Bosco, Stephanie Costello and Nicole Levesque. Earning assists were Goulet, Bosco, Hailey Girardin and Dayle Jordan.

Natalie Michaud converted a penalty kick for Madison (3-4) in the secod half to prevent the shutout.

Caron finished with four saves, while Savanah Kandicow stopped 15 shots for Madison.

Dirigo 1, Mt. Abram 1

DIXFIELD — The Dirigo and Mt. Abram girls’ soccer squads played to a 1-1 tie Saturday afternoon.

Paige Murphy converted a relay from Kayla Gaudin at the 21:38 mark of the first half to give the Cougars (4-2-1) an early lead.

Lizzie Carleton netted an unassisted tally 1:30 before the half to tie the game for the Roadrunners (1-4-2).

Goalie Ali Lopez made nine saves for Mt. Abram, while Natasha Deroche turned back eight for Dirigo in the stalemate.

Girls’ soccer

St. Dom’s 6, Monmouth 0

AUBURN — Jack Erickson scored three goals and Kurt Johnson added two as St. Dom’s skipped over Monmouth Academy with a 6-0 victory in a boys’ soccer game Saturday afternoon.

The Saints (6-1-0) jumped out to a 5-0 lead over the Mustangs and kept on going in the second half when St. Dom’s topped off the game with another goal.

Alex Parker also scored and picked up an assist for the Saints.

St. Dom’s goalie Cam Hailey frustrated the Mustangs as he made six saves.

Falmouth 2, Gray-NG 1

GRAY — Senior forward Sam White nailed the game-winning goal with 2:46 remaining in double overtime to lift Falmouth to a 2-1 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in WMC boys’ soccer action Saturday.

The Yachtsmen (5-2) scored first when Brandon Tuttle found the back of the net with seven minutes to go in the half. The Patriots (4-4) responded five minutes later with a direct kick from Jack Martel to even things up at 1-1.

Goalie Ryan Cavallaro made 10 saves for Gray-New Gloucester, while Ben Goffin turned away six shots to earn the win in net for Falmouth.

Field hockey

Gray-NG 1, Falmouth 0

GRAY — Breanna Harlow scored with a little over two minutes remaining in double overtime to provide Gray-New Gloucester a 1-0 victory over Falmouth in field hockey action Saturday.

Harlow’s goal was assisted by Jenna Labrecque.

Goalie Olivia Rottari had 10 saves for the Patriots, while Kelsey Friedman had four saves for Falmouth in the losing effort.

Jay 2, Hall-Dale 1

FARMINGDALE — Randi Duguay saw an opportunity when the Hall-Dale goalie was knocked to the ground and the ball skirted to the right.

Duguay got to the ball first and punched in the winning goal with 6:13 left in the first overtime, lifting Jay (4-5) to a 2-1 victory in a field hockey game Saturday afternoon.

Brittany DiPompo got the assist on Duguay’s winning goal.

In the first half, Jay took a 1-0 lead when Rachel Calden scored on a Kayla Meserve assist.

The Bulldogs (2-7) bounced back in the second half and tied when Jade Hubart scored unassisted.

Hebron 3, Gould 0

BETHEL — Natalie Maciejewski scored the eventual game-winning goal as Hebron sailed to a 3-0 victory over Gould in field hockey action Saturday.

The Lumberjacks (1-0) took a 2-0 halftime lead on a tally by Moeko Ogawa. Jcki Aaskov collected an unassisted tally early in the second half for Hebron.

Goalie Marguerite Hertzog made eight saves for the Huskies (0-2), while Mariah Mosher fended off 10 shots to earn the win in net for Hebron.

Football

Proctor 49, Hebron 22

HEBRON — Everic Johnson recorded four touchdowns to lead Proctor to a 49-22 triumph over Hebron on Saturday.

The Lumberjacks (0-1) battled fierce in the first half, trailing just 26-22 at the midpoint. Levi Lincoln collected a 5-yard and 2-yard touchdown in each of the first two quarters, respectively.

Proctor (1-0) shutout Hebron 23-0 in the second half of the matchup.
