FARMINGTON — Mae Bucklin, 83, a resident of Bucklin Drive, Jay, died Sunday, Sept. 26, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, where she had been a patient since Tuesday.
She was born Sept. 16, 1927, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Sabatino and Dominica (Orsini) Luciano. Mae attended Livermore Falls High School.
On Nov. 8, 1945, in Portland, she married her husband of 64 years, Harold Bucklin Jr. He passed away July 9. Mae worked in the local shoe shops until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She and Harold used to host Hoot-n-Nanny’s at their home most Saturday evenings. Mae was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, and a member of the Frank L. Mitchell V.F.W. Post No. 3335 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janice St. Cyr and her husband, Dan, of Mexico, and Debra Therrien of Jay; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Elvina Miller of Jay; and her dog, Abby.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Danielle St. Cyr; three brothers, Tony, Nick and John Luciano; and her brother-in-law, Carlton “James” Miller.
