WILTON — Hands On PAH of the Wilton Free Public Library will sponsor a comic book workshop for deaf children and children of deaf adults, ages 12 to 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16.
The workshop will be held at the Fairbanks School in Farmington, and will feature Dan Ryder, English teacher at Mt. Blue High School, as the presenter.
It will be a hands-on experience to learn about the comic book genre, and will present an opportunity for kids to create some comics of their own.
The workshop is free, but space is limited to 16. Preference will be given to deaf children and children of deaf adults. ASL interpreters will be available. Those interested must register by Oct. 9 to guarantee a space.
Hands On PAH offers programs designed to make the library a user-friendly place for deaf children and adults, their families and friends.
