FARMINGTON — Geraldine Louise Guinard, 91, a resident of Sandy River Living Center, and formerly of Windham, died Friday, Sept. 24, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side, after a brief illness.

She was born in Falmouth, Sept. 2, 1919, the daughter of Harry and Eva (Osterberg) Lawson. She attended school in Falmouth and was a graduate of Falmouth High School, Class of 1937. She was married to Raymond Guinard of Portland on Jan. 26, 1941. He passed away Jan. 27, 2003, the day after their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Geraldine worked at American Can Co. in Portland for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Frank L. Mitchell, VFW Post 3335 Auxiliary in Jay and the George Bunton American Legion Post 10 Auxiliary in Livermore Falls. Geraldine was an avid Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeannett Boyce of Windham, N.H.; her son, Wilfred “Bill” Guinard and his wife, Judy, of Jay; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Harriett Wright of Portland; and her brother, Milo Lawson of California.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Shirley Lawson of Kittery and Alan “Buddy” Lawson of California.
