Church luncheon

DANVILLE — A potluck luncheon will be served immediately following the worship service, which begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at the Danville Union Church.

The occasion will be held to honor Pastor Dodi Knights, who is retiring after having served the church for many years, and to welcome the Rev. Doris Miller, who will be the new pastor. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call 783-6897.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners of the quarterly club championship at the Multi-Purpose Center on Sept. 27 were as follows: first, Dick Allen and Richard Balian; second, Peter Dickson and Les Buzzell; third, Ron Reynolds and Lindy Wigton; fourth, Rosemarie Goodwin and Bob Berry.

First in B, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second, Della Starbird and Eileen Potvin.

Officer installation

SABATTUS — The Jacques Cartier Club will install officers and directors during a ceremony from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the facility on Wales Road.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, at the Multi-Purpose Center. The speaker will be Denise Dill, who will speak on healthy foods. Pot of gold will be drawn and light refreshments will be served.
