If government exists to elevate the condition of the governed and to empower and inspire its citizens, then Maine voters should elect Libby Mitchell as the next governor.

Mitchell’s plans to revitalize Maine’s economy and her far-reaching vision for education will make Maine a better place for all its citizens. A Mitchell administration will seek to bolster the Seed Capital Tax Credit, invest in green technology, and work with small businesses so that they can flourish.

A lifelong learner herself, Mitchell realizes that it is never too late to invest in an education. Therefore, she will work to cut the high school dropout rate by 50 percent, expand pre-kindergarten services throughout the state, and guarantee high-achieving high school students one-year tuition in college.

As a college student myself, I understand and appreciate the value of a good education.

Maine needs Libby Mitchell. She stands for jobs, education and people.
