Coat sale

NORWAY — The Stephens Volunteer Services Thrift Shop will hold its annual coat sale Thursday, Oct. 14, in the Thrift Shop on Danforth Street. The sale will be held during regular business hours, which have changed for the winter season.

The shop is now open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

Senior meeting

WEST PARIS — The West Paris Senior Citizens had the September meeting at the home of Ivan Morey. A luncheon was followed by the business meeting and a program with Bob Corriveau and Roger playing banjos and singing.

The next luncheon meeting will be held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Michael’s in Norway.

Grange installation

WEST PARIS — A joint installation for West Paris and Franklin granges was held at the West Paris Grange Hall, preceded by a supper, on Sept. 16. The installation team included Jeanne and David Burnham of Scarborough.

The annual health and hearing program will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, at the West Paris Grange Hall, 4 Church St., with Oline Sweetsir as guest speaker.

Bingo

NORWAY — The Norway Rehab and Living Center will host senior bingo for ages 65 and up, Tuesday, Oct. 5. The price is $2 for 10 games. The center is located at 29 Marion Ave.

Seniors to meet

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the Pleasant Valley Grange Hall in West Bethel. The price of dinner is $8.

The program will be show and tell. Reservations must be made before Oct. 11 by calling Nancy at 824-3350 or Arlene at 824-2877.

Girl Scouts

SUMNER — The Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and registration meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Hartford-Sumner Elementary School.
