Boosters meeting

RUMFORD — The Mountain Valley High School Athletic Boosters will host a welcome meeting for new members at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, in the school library. Light refreshments will be served.

As a fundraiser, the Boosters are selling candles for $10 each. Mountain Valley apparel is also for sale. For more information or to purchase any items, call Leanne Virgin at 364-0890.

Pancake breakfast

CANTON — Whitney Lodge 167 will host a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2. Cost is $5 a plate.

Seniors to meet

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the Pleasant Valley Grange Hall in West Bethel. The price of dinner is $8. The program will be show and tell. Reservations must be made before Oct. 11 by calling Nancy at 824-3350 or Arlene at 824-2877.

Rummage sale

RUMFORD — St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will hold a rummage and food sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the church, located on the rotary.
