AUBURN — Carl R. Ackerman, 66, of Rumford, passed away on Sept. 25 in Auburn, with his family by his side.

He was born in Norwalk, Conn., May 5, 1944, the son of Samuel and Helen Ackerman.

He is survived by his wife, Stephenie Mogelnicki-Ackerman; two daughters, Sophia Lynne Ackerman-Post and husband, Michael, of Maine, and Tammy Rios Andreoli and husband, Michael, of Connecticut; one brother, Stephen Ackerman of Connecticut; and his beloved dog, “Lincoln.”

He was predeceased by his parents.
