LEWISTON — Art Pulse, a new visual arts gallery, will hold its grand opening reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2.

An artisans co-op, Art Pulse is made up of 10 local artists whose mission is educating, involving, and prospering the L/A scene for viewers and artists alike.

Members are Grayling Cunningham, oil painter and sculptor; Hunter Matthews, blacksmith, sculptor; Jeanelle Demers, acrylic painter, portraiture artist and Gallery 5 curator; Jason Landry, photographer and oil painter; Vin Myrand, oil painter, illustrator and muralist; Ray Fannin Jr., photographer and acrylic painter; Kate Myrand, oil/acrylic painter and middle school art instructor; Mark Ryberg, illustrator and acrylic painter; Kerry Landry, oil painter and curator at Captive Elements; and Kevin St. Onge, acrylic painter and musician. Each is offering artwork for $100 or less.

Art Pulse, which has a classic gallery feel with hardwood floors, white walls and a smattering of brickwork, is at 178 Lisbon St., on the second floor.
