STONEHAM — During October, the Oxford County United Parish will welcome back the Rev. Dixie Piper and the Rev. Philip Shearman.

Piper will speak during worship on Sunday, Oct. 3 and 24. Piper, from Poland, was well received when she visited the parish in September. Shearman, from Gorham, will fill the pulpit on Sunday, Oct. 10 and 17. All are invited to visit the parish to hear his message.

A committee is also at work trying to organize a trip in October to the Old South Church in Boston, where the Rev. Nancy Taylor, a former pastor of the parish, is now serving. Anyone who is interested in joining the trip may contact committee President Millie Millett or Sharon McAllister for more information.

Worship services will be held at 10 a.m. in the East Stoneham Church on Route 5. All are welcome and coffee and refreshments will be served after each service.
