For years, I have been hearing that Republicans want Social Security gone. I never worried because I knew other elected officials would never let that happen because they knew what catastrophic days would follow.

But I am worried about the upcoming election, because there seems to be an extremist group that is growing in the Republican ranks, and if they become the power that they brag about, that will not be good for Republicans or the country.

I hope all Social Security recipients are careful who they vote for.
