I am supporting Lois Snowe-Mello for election to the state Senate. This election is critical to the state’s future. There are not enough jobs here. People who have jobs are often working two jobs, extra hours or are underemployed. We need to change course now, for our children’s sake.
The party that controls Augusta is so out of touch with reality that its answer to the poor economy is higher taxes.
That party’s officials assume that working people and small businesses will just keep paying and paying. The 100-plus new or expanded taxes voters just overwhelmingly repealed last spring were not the first time they have tried this. We previously repealed their soda tax, designed to fund the failed Dirigo health program.
Lois Snowe-Mello stands with us and for us. She supports taxpayers, small businesses, and more affordable health insurance. I hope voters can return her to the Maine Senate.
